Satellite Beach is a fun and lively sub tropical coastal town on the barrier island of Brevard County that borders the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal waterway to the west. Surfing is a major passion for many of the residents of Satellite Beach, and you will often see people walking home from the beach with surfboards under their arms. Beach access to the ocean is plentiful with public Beach Access crossovers found frequently throughout the entire length of the ocean beaches. 75% of all nesting Florida Loggerhead Turtles nest on the beaches of Brevard County. Female Loggerheads come out of the ocean between May and October to dig their nests and lay their precious eggs. A night time walk along the beach in nesting season almost guarantees a sighting of one of these huge, magnificent and shy creatures.

The Intracoastal waterway, also known as the Indian River is renowned for its boating. Sailboats, fishing vessels and luxury cruisers are a common site along the shores of the Indian River in Satellite Beach. It is not uncommon to drive over one of the causeways and see dolphins frolicking next to Satellite Beach residents out on their jet ski’s.

Satellite Beach has excellent accessibility to everything that Brevard County offers.
